Forest Invasion

Forest Invasion, July 2020, Acrylic on canvas with metallic ink, 18”x14”

One day, early in June 2020, I was working in my little cabin studio in Ellenville which I loved as it was open to the forest. But that day, I felt an abhorrence for the Forest: 'I am invaded by green, the blood in my veins must be running green.’

In the cabin painting, I tried to capture the porousness of a cabin in the woods where the green of the forest and its many creatures infiltrate the inside.
